| John Mann was born in Toledo, Ohio in 1950. His family moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1957. John, who has a life-long interest in science, received degrees from Northern Arizona University in 1972 and from Emory University in 1977, and again in 1980. A primarily self-taught artist, he uses his knowledge of human anatomy to help accomplish his goal: to bring life to his pieces. Concentrating on, but not limited to, the female form, he is able to create beautiful figurative sculptures and bas-reliefs. John now resides in Chandler, Arizona where he is becoming a rapidly emerging artist among private collectors. John uses modern materials because he believes that sculpture should be enjoyed by and afforadable for the general public. |
